Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

Great customer service is an experience that you should enjoy and become familiar with. Nowadays customer service is lacking, the employees best interest in the customers are turning into gello.  By gello I mean no one really cares right now, all they are out for is a paycheck. So why would anyone work at something they hate really bad? “They’ve focused on customer service and haven’t allowed themselves to be distracted by other things,” (Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition. Page 3).  This is an incredible statement, because I believe this should be the basis for all jobs, at least most companies should enforce such a rule. In addition, if no one cared about customers or customer service how are we able to sell the things we need to? To keep cash flowing and to keep business running, besides you can’t really put a fake face on where the consumers can see it. I would rather come to work with an enjoyable attitude than a messy unsettled one. Retail now is a big deal for people, whether it is in Wal-Mart, Smiths, or Target consumers thrive on companies like these to keep them running and alive. We really can’t expect them to customer service themselves; otherwise they would steal a lot of things. Overall the retail world is opening up widely, and if we could step it up a little more, I’m sure we are more than likely to succeed in making a higher sales volume and enjoying the customer’s reaction to their experience in the store. I would to also add is if you ever go into a store and you get totally bad service, I would think twice and step out the way you were coming in, because it is not worth it. You were not there to be given bad service, you know.
